Attacking WSC's (War Simulation Coliseum) is a great way to level up your hero and win some good rewards. The best part is that you don't lose troops for real so there is zero risk in doing one.

To launch a WSC you need to have a Black Pass. These can be traded for aglets or you get one each day if you're ranked Tribune or higher.
You can help someone with a WSC by clicking Hop-In. This doesn't consume a black pass.
Note that i takes 40 physical from your hero for WSC compared to the usual 10.
If you win a round you get at least 1 red pass and a bread. Red passes can be bartered for items, the best being a POT 8 hero which costs 300 red passes.
This seems like a lot but its doable and worth it.
Rounds 1-10 will also give you another black pass but to get these rounds you need to be waiting for the reset.
Rounds below 30 give you 1 red pass and rounds above 30 give you 2.
Rounds 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 give you extra red passes and bread, but they also give you a book that shortens troop training time. These are the rounds you wanna get.

WSC's take 2 minutes to get there, 15 minutes to get back no matter where they are.

Strategies for winning:
The lower level rounds are easy, but when you get above round 30 there are some tricks to use.
If you're doing a tougher round (this is relative to each person) send a decoy to launch then a decoy in slot 2 and your main army in slot 3. After that send however many decoys you think you need. By the time you're able to do rounds in the high 40's you'll use 5 to 9 decoys after your main.
Another way is to put a small army in slot 2, but you split the experience between heroes this way.
Another technique is to add an army with your leftovers after you last decoy just in case.

Phew! thats all I can think of for now. Good Luck!
